Congratulations to Lucks’s Lab graduate student Matt Verosloff for taking 1st place in the Northwestern Biomedical Career Development Forum Flash Talks!

Matt was selected to give a flash talk after impressing the judges during an evening of poster presentations. His flash talk focused on his recent publication on the PLANT-Dx platform in ACS Synthetic Biology describing the next generation of point-of-use diagnostics for plant pathogens. Thanks to funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Matt and the rest of the lab are continuing to improve on this work to develop cheap and rapid diagnostics for various pathogens and contaminants that threaten global health. Stay tuned for more good news and congratulations again to Matt!
