Sitara was recently honored with Best Poster in the Applied Research category at the Cornell Undergraduate Research Board’s Spring Forum. Her poster, entitled “Engineering Light-Activated RNA Gene Regulators,” covered her work over the past year. Together with Sarai and Rebecca, Sitara has characterized interactions between RNA aptamers and their target chromophore ligands via SHAPE. Her careful research have helped illuminate RNA-ligand interactions for the application of building light-activated RNA regulators. Congratulations, Sitara!
