Congratulations to one of our postdocs, Dr. Eric Strobel, and two of our newest graduate students, Luyi Cheng and Adam Silverman, on securing fellowships!
Eric is one of 20 recipients of the Arnold O. Beckman Postdoctoral Fellowship for 2017 through the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation. These fellowships are awarded to postdocs “with the highest potential for success in an independent academic career in chemistry and the life sciences.” Congratulations Eric!
Luyi Cheng, who recently completed her first year as a PhD student in Northwestern’s Interdisciplinary Biological Sciences Graduate Program, is a recipient of the Molecular Biophysics Training Program at Northwestern. The Biophysics training program is funded by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) of the National Institutes of Health (5T32 GM008382).
Finally, Adam Silverman, who has completed his first year as a PhD student in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, has been awarded a fellowship as part of the Biotechnology Training Program. The BTP program is another NIGMS funded training grant (T32 GM008449) at Northwestern.
Congratulations!
