The Lucks Lab is excited to announce that graduate student Matthew Verosloff has been named a Northwestern University Center for Molecular Innovation and Drug Discovery Scholar. The CMIDD Scholar award is “designed to highlight students with demonstrated ability to achieve and contribute” and “whose research explores the impact of chemistry on life sciences.”
CMIDD and MilliporeSigma will be hosting The Chemical Impact on Life Sciences Colloquium & Scientific Poster Session later this month, where Matthew will be presenting his work on developing point-of-care diagnostics for the detection of human and agricultural pathogens. The work has demonstrated great potential towards improving global living standards and has begun to spawn several multidisciplinary collaborations aimed at solving today’s pressing issues.
In addition to being honored at a special luncheon during the colloquium, Matthew will receive a cash prize to spend on his research or on travel to a scientific meeting of his choice!
Congratulations Matthew!
