Congratulations to Dr. Khalid Alam, co-founder of Stemloop and former Lucks lab postdoctoral fellow, for being named a 40 Under 40 Chicago Scientist! This award recognizes young scientists who are translating innovative science into real-world applications that could benefit society.
Khalid was recognized for his work in developing low-cost, easy-to-use cell-free biosensors that could be applied to testing contamination in drinking water.
Khalid and the other selected scientists will be honored at the 2nd Annual Halo Awards on Saturday, October 12 at the Museum of Science and Industry. Congratulations!
