James Chappell, a former postdoc in the lab and now a professor at Rice University (https://www.chappell-lab.org), is one of 126 early career scholars recognized today as a 2018 Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellow!
For over 60 years the Sloan Foundation has awarded fellowships to early career scientists of exceptional promise. The Fellowship is one of the most prestigious awards for junior faculty.
